Great news! Almost all my film equipment is bought and on its way. I have gotten a EOS Rebel t6i camera with an additional lens, the EF-S 55-250mm lens, for a great deal of $686.41. Then I went to amazon and ordered a 60 inch lightweight tripod with bag, a LED light, a microphone and a heavy duty bracket to support both the LED light and microphone on top the camera.

In the process of getting, but not yet ordered, is a large garment bag to hold my camera and some of my equipment in. Also I want to order back-up batteries, and I want another LED light that is better for more close-up camera shots.

I am so excited for this year. This will help me develop more skills and allow me to make more videos. I don’t have to worry about renting materials as much.

As for software I am trying out two new software for editing. I am trying out Lightsworks and Blackmagic: Davinci Resolve. Before I had only used Final Cut Pro but I want to explore and try other softwares that are less expensive. I can not wait to get started.
